The Garden of Feedin'

We have a 20'x30' plot at the Benson-Crump Memorial Community Gardens, located at 624 North St. in Milford. We have several volunteers that cover a weekly rotation during the season (between May-Oct) to plant, weed, water, grow and harvest produce that is donated to the community. This produce, which includes lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, kale, strawberries and cucumbers is incorporated into our monthly community supper menus. Additional produce is shared after church on Sundays, is donated to the local food pantries, and shared with residents in the Milford Redevelopment Housing Partnership. Our church is also a recepient organization for the PAR plots, which oversees additional plots at the community- gardens specifically for donation.
