Originally started during COVID to offer those with food insecurity shelf stable food with no barriers to access, the Purple Pantry Box program now operates 19 Purple Pantry Boxes set up in Milford and surrounding communities. See more information about the Purple Pantry Boxes program here: https://purplepantryboxes.com/ MTMUMC has a box in front of the church (near the M&T Bank drive- thru) and supplies inventory for 6 out of 7 days each week with help from the church budget and community donations. A coordinator manages volunteers to stock the box each day and volunteers to organize and build the weekly bags from inventory our shopping team purchases.
Fight food insecurity in Milford! Purple Pantry Box volunteer opportunities are now available in January, February, and early March at Mary Taylor UMC. Build bags, fill the box, or help with stocking and inventory.
