Souper Bowl of Caring Food/Fundraiser

Our first ever Souper Bowl of Caring tailgating event to benefit Beth-El Center and Milford Food Bank was a great success! See the official certificate below for total donations! Thank you to the Milford community and local businesses, including Subway, Stop & Shop, ShopRite Bigelow Tea and Buffalo Wild Wings, as well as the NFL Alumni CT Chapter for coming out to donate food, cash and gift cards.  We had sunny weather for our scavenger hunt, games on the lawn and tailgate food. Our DJ John Vaccino queued up a CT Stars Cheerleading performance that had our NFL Alums Niko Koutouvides and Terry Hanratty clapping and dancing along. To further illustrate just how real the need is, some people came to the event in search of food, which was shared lovingly with those requesting it. All proceeds will be split equally between Beth El Center, the local homeless shelter and soup kitchen, and Milford Food Bank, a food pantry housed in the Milford Senior Center.
