With support from NFL Alumni, Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church is hosting Tackle Hunger’s Souper Bowl of Caring this year on Saturday, Feb. 11th, from 11 AM – 1 PM at our church at 176 South Broad St. on the Milford, CT Town Green.
There will be FUN GAMES and entertainment like Ladder Ball, Corn Hole, Nerf Football, Quarterback Relay, and trivia. And FUN FOOD like Chili, Pulled Pork, hot dogs on the grill, and some savory soups to warm us up if the weather is cold. The cost of admission will be non-perishable food items or a monetary donation (in the amount you choose) to help feed the hungry in our community. We are thrilled to announce that there will also be some special guests from the CT Chapter of the NFL Alumni joining us!
Tackle Hunger’s signature Souper Bowl of Caring effort is a youth-inspired movement working nationwide to tackle hunger in their local communities. Mobilizing grassroots resources, including churches, schools, civic groups, and caring individuals, Tackle Hunger and the Souper Bowl of Caring movement has created over $175 million worth of support that stays completely local to ensure no one goes without soup in their bowl.
All donations will be shared with the Beth El Center and the Milford Food Bank.
So come down and join our team in your favorite jersey, have some FUN and do something GOOD for our Milford neighbors!
