As an APRN, I know professionally how important blood donations are to saving lives each and every day. I also know this personally as a relative and also a friend of many survivors of cancer and trauma who have needed lifesaving blood donations. We are hosting a blood donation drive right at our own Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church on Monday April 10th from 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM. 

If you haven't given blood in a while (or actually in just the last 56 days), please consider setting up an appointment to donate a pint of life. And if you aren't eligible to donate blood, share the link with a friend who is, or consider donating a few hours of your time to volunteer (LeighB619@gmail.com) to help the drive run smoothly.

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
